Cunning Swine who Don’t Know the Savior

There is unity among the TRUE body of Christ. We are unified solely in Christ and that means we are born again, humbled, broken, and only believe and walk in what His blessed Word clearly says which is “a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our a paths.” (Ps. 119:105)

Perhaps our struggle is in trying to have unity with tares who only think they are wheat (believers). At times perhaps we are wanting to accept as brothers and sisters those whom our LORD is not receiving due to their not meeting Him on His terms which “are not grievous.” (1 John 5:3)

It’s the LORD Jesus Christ’s kingdom and not ours and He alone determines who gets into His kingdom and whom He puts/vomits out of His kingdom, not us. We must beware not to throw our pearls (time, truth, treasures, etc.) to spiritual swine who will eventually seek to destroy us. Jesus warns “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” (Matthew 7:6)

Jesus dumped devils into swine (Matthew 8:32). They are the lowest of the low of animals in the Jewish culture.

Just this week I was meditating and sharing how that the LORD has taught me some things concerning discerning others. Throughout the years I have sought to help some guys that I don’t think the LORD was in. Turns out they turned again and rended or ripped me when things didn’t go their way. As I look back, these 2-3 guys were on drugs, hateful, not giving, only looking for self-glory, etc.

In retrospect I am learning that if a person claiming to be Christ’s doesn’t edify, show mercy, is unforgiving, doesn’t have a genuine personal testimony of how Jesus saved their wicked soul, never speaks a word of affirmation or encouragement, it’s probably because he or she is a swine. These same ungracious people are quick to judge and condemn and make you have to work for their approval which they really never give. This type person is not right with God. That is not the characteristics of divine love spelled out in Scripture (1 Corinthians 13).

When I look back I can recall how that there was always an uneasy feeling with the swine. Though I even still can’t put a finger on it, there was just something missing. Can you relate?

Now meditate on this okay – there certainly IS unity among the LORD”s true remnant. The problem is pointed out in Scripture – that there are tares/counterfeits among the wheat.  John 8:47 is vital

Those who do not have true godly love and unity due to authentically being born again and abiding in Jesus, are not His true body. It’s not just unity based on merely lipping that one loves the Bible, but rather that that individual is literally seeking God and practically obeying His Word. Otherwise, that person is counterfeit (James 1:22; 1 John 3:18).

Those who know Him inherently have fellowship/communion/unity with those others who know Him – “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.” 1 John 5:1-2

“We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.” 1 John 3:14

This is an important component of truth/revelation that will greatly help our discernment in this late hour where the love of many has waxed cold and many “false brethren” abound (Matt. 24:10-13; 2 Cor.11:26; Gal. 2:4).

Beloved, cry out to the LORD for His discernment so you can know others “by their fruits.” (Matt. 7:16, 20) This will help you make much wiser decisions in taking in people close to you. This will also save you from much unnecessary heartache and pain. God is able!
