Every Kindred, and Tongue, and People, and Nation

Jesus opened wide His arms to redeem precious souls from every people group He put on His earth. Of the body of Christ and every member of that one body in Christ, the Bible says:

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;  10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

The Bible instructs you and I as disciples of Jesus to “love the brotherhood.” (1 Peter 2:17)  But what “brotherhood” is God speaking of that we are to “love”? – He’s specifically instructing us to love His other children. In fact, such love in and through us proves we are truly God’s children and by this love all men know that we are truly His disciples and body (John 13:34-35; 1 John 5:1).

On the Day of Pentecost, the day the New Testament church was born, present in Jerusalem were Jews “out of every nation under heaven.” (Acts 2:5) After the Jews began to be reached, the Gentiles (all non Jews) began to be reached. There is order with God and He is seen keeping that order by saving first the Jewish people from all over the known world who chose to repent and believe upon Jesus and then the Gentiles – “to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.” (Romans 2:9-10) Read Ephesians 2 today.

If we measure others by the color of their skin pigment, we are fighting the wrong battle.

“He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.” Job 13:10

There really is “no respecter of persons with God” and if we have respecter of persons, the Bible says we have sin and are mocking His creation (Romans 2:11; James 2:9). God is not pleased with white, brown, yellow, red, or black racism or liberation theology of any type. God looks on the heart of man not the skin pigment color (1 Sam. 16:7). There’s only ONE body of Christ, made up of precious redeemed souls from “every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.”

Dare we tempt and mock our Maker by despising His creation?

The LORD died for all men and wants them all saved. The only way He excludes someone, is if they refuse to repent and believe upon His One Savior, Jesus Christ (Mark 16:16; John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 2:16; Revelation 22:17, etc.).

Only mankind is created in His image. No other species of His creation was made in His divine image and every other part of His creation is for the glory and blessing of mankind (Genesis 1-2; Psalms 8). So, all men, women, and precious children are made in the LORD’s image, no matter what color their skin wrap is ;)

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.” Revelation 5:9

Let’s us with one accord, lift hearts and our voices today to give honor and glory to the One who bled to redeem us all men, including the race we happen to be and every other race of mankind!

The Bible says that we can “Break off thy sins by righteousness.” (Daniel 4:27) In other words, we can break an ungodly habit or deeply entrenched mindset by realizing it’s wrong and flipping it by doing right. Exercise to break off all prejudice: Today, reach out to a precious soul that is of another race than you are. Get that joy-filled smile spread across your face, and reach out that hand of compassion in Christ’s love! This will not only begin to break off your predisposed prejudice and respecter of persons, it may be used of our LORD to touch the person you reach out to.

May the LORD bless each of His beloved children to be conformed to Christ’s image who came and died for the sins of all men, redeeming them with His precious blood.

Let’s lift up the whole body of Christ today in prayer. How? Just pray God’s Word over each member. Pray Romans 8:29. The LORD is listening and will answer (1 Peter 3:12).
