The true disciple or student of Christ must always be studying the Word of God to discover just WHY Jesus came to this earth. Here’s one answer this multi-faceted, essential question. This is one very important component of that answer.

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:17

When we learn of our Savior as to just WHY He came, it will change the way we view and minister to others.

JESUS CAME to save and not destroy (Lk. 9:56; Jn. 3:17). Until you get the revelation of this truth in your heart, you may be prone to have attitudes of wrongful judgment toward others, being blind of your own utter, daily need for divine mercy that was given you because of the merit of Christ and not yourself.

“For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.” Luke 9:56

Undiluted divine judgment will come on all those who condemn others without showing mercy. – “For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.” James 2:13

Memorize Luke 9:56, John 3:17 and Ephesians 4:32.
